Here are all if the characters from the aforementioned Dark Heresy game.  Appearances and logos inspired by Warhammer 40k © Games Workshop Ltd.

Something a little different: my interpretation of the character Jaxx Rommulous played by Geoff Robinson in a Dark Heresy campaign.  Appearance and logos inspired by the Warhammer 40k universe © Games Workshop Ltd.

I was spending too long on this.  It is as finished as it is going to be.

This guy is a character in a developing setting/story I've been trying to think up.  Will probably add color.  Hopefully I'll be posting more regular updates soon.  Thanks to all of you who keep coming back here to see what I've been up to.  Cheers!

Location sketch

An old fortress city built on the edge of an inland sea that dried up hundreds of years prior.

This was going to go up yesterday as just a figure drawing, but I got a little carried away.

Some classical inspiration today (as well as Bridgman, of course).

I'm back and I've got Hawai'i on the brain!

More Bridgman-inspired figures.  Looser, this time.

This sketch might turn into something more finished down the line.  I have a new Bridgman book that I've been pouring over and I'm all excited about drawing figures.

Lancer.  I've been having fun with this today.  Posting it now so I don't spend too much time on it.

More early medieval dudes.  This swear this is going somewhere.

Starting the week off with some character design sketches.

Pose is inspired by photo reference.  I started coloring him but I decided the marker look was cool.  I also didn't want to spend all day on this.  The armor reminds me of the marines in Halo.

Work in progress - figured I'd throw it up here for my sketch of the day.  Not totally happy with where she is right now for a number of reasons.  I'll try to get her pointed in the right direction and maybe she'll show up here again.

This guy started off as a completely different character, but I'm glad he ended up where he did.  I spent a little more time cleaning him up than I do with most of these blog-bound sketches.

Made some changes over on the portfolio site today.  Now that this blog is back in action I want it to be easier to find!

I ended up spending more time on this than I intended.  Still trying to keep it fast and loose.

Two quick paintings from today.  I'm actually pretty happy with the samurai guy.  I think I'll continue trying to do a few of these high-energy sketches every day.

I think I'm going to start updating my blog again with sketches and other things that might not necessarily make it onto my portfolio site.  Therefore, this may not be a collection of my best work.  Hopefully people will still find it cool.  My portfolio can be viewed at jcreynolds.com
